NY local was part of the cultural off-site events during new york design week 09. the show was located in the meatpacking district. the MPDI program consisted of over 25 exhibitions, panel discussions an cocktail parties. produced by abe gurko (ABE NY) and annie washburn. as a city that is rich with diverse juxtapositions of contrasts, new york's design culture has evolved into an eclecticism of visual languages which directly reflect the dynamic mix of its own icons, contextual references and urban creativity.
